Today as I begin my adventures, I think about the self control lesson in my Bible studies last week. We talk about making our day each morning, and it really starts and ends with discipline. Yesterday I recognized that when I put a hole in a trailer tire, my first reaction was of course an impulsive one. But after the initial reaction, I remembered that I control how it went from there. I chose in that moment to focus on the path forward instead. Happy Sunday!

Today as I begin my adventures, I think about yesterday when I jumped into the car. I don't really drive it very often and when I sat down I found myself looking for the button to start it and then realized I wasn't in the pickup truck and I actually had to put the key in to start it! We often get lazy with how convenient life can be with everything out there. Fast food, social media for communication, grocery delivery, and most recently AI. It's important to use these things

Today as I begin my adventures, I take a moment to enjoy a little rain this Friday morning. It’s been a long week, but good. Last week I failed at my goal of metal detecting, but this week I made sure to get in some swings! It does remind me though to not make life so busy that we don’t get any time to enjoy it. We get one shot here before we get called home and if we spend all that time being busy, we’ll never get to truly live life. That’s how we make our day, finding time

Today as I begin my adventures, this picture of Winnie Bear caught my eye before I needed to take a picture so I decided to run it back. I’ve made a great week so far because of what I’ve chosen to pay attention to, but also how I’m handling situations. The old me would have led on impulse and anger, and seek vengeance in a certain recent situation. Instead I have chosen a path of peace and integrity and that’s how I will make my day!
